The Day Of The Triffids - John Wyndham

The story is about a big rupture happening and it is not pretty at all. It seems like a Wednesday starting like Sunday when it all happened. He knew things were awry. No one showed up and not in site. May 8 was an occasion at particular personal importance. He doesn't really care if it shows. He asked himself why does the traffic stop in the middle of the time. It gets odd each time in the chapter. He wants to get drunk and be crazy the main character said. He could see things other people can't see.

The interest that got me was that all the sudden it jumped to conclusions to fast and it went to one big drama that was amazing how it all started. I also find very cool that he could see things other people can't see. It seems like this book is like a mystery .

What did not interest me was that they did not even introduce the character in the beginning of the book. They should introduce the character first then they should go on. I wasn't really interested in this book at all.

I wouldn't want to finish this book because its very long and it doesn't introduce the characters and also doesn't really make sense in the beginning. They should of introduced the person it was good but it needed to make a little more fun in it.

The Wild Children - Felice Holman

The story is about a boy named Alex people are starting to disappear. He finds out his parents are gone. He has no one to live with. Alex is homeless. He likes this girl Katriana. Katriana is his teacher who is trying to help him , and try to find his parents. Katriana said that the new government will want the students to think particular. Alex listens to his dad whatever he says. He's going to go live with his uncle in a upper town of Russia. He is homeless and has no where to go but his uncles.

The interest that got me was that everyone is getting missing in where he is and that his teacher is helping him out. That is a very generous teacher who is willing to sacrifice her generosity to Alex.

The part that I'm not interested that it jumped to conclusions right away that they did not describe anything well at all. It needs to describe more of the theory that's happening in the story. I think they should of first talked about the parents disappearing and they should of described Alex more better.
I could see myself reading this book because this book was very good and I liked how the author made it kind of wanted it to be a to be continued chapter. It was such a good chapter I would read the whole book if we were allowed to.

Catch A Killer - George Woods

This book is about a 12 year old boy named Andrew. He wants to have fun in his life but can't because his mom is over protective and doesn't want him to get hurt even if he wants to go to his friends house. His dad died and his mom never been the same since she's stressing out allot and she is very strict and needs help raising her only child. Andrew's mom slapped him , for talking back to her and he was so mad and left the house in anger. He ran away from home and his mother was yelling running out of the house and was telling him to come back here right now he was just ignoring her and walked away. He was thinking about his life and what was happening in the situation. Andrew wanted to test his love for his mom , he wanted to stay out until his mom was looking for him. But I don't think it will work , she will probably give up on me searching everywhere for him. Also he went to his friends and he didn't really want to go after the fight him and his mom had. So the chapter ended with him about to go to the club.

I was interested that how the book started it started off as a conversation then started the story. It's very sad that how it's all starting off but it gets interesting in how it goes on. I really want to know what happends next with Andrew and his mom.

I wasn't interested in the last chpater we had to read. It wasn't interesting. It did not really interest me it wasnt as thrilling as the first chapter to me. I also did not like the part when his mom slapped him for that reason its very rude and mean it should've not of happend.

I could see myself reading this book because I really like going on to different books like this one. I really liked it. I hope we get to read it some more and get more into it.

The Chrysalids - John Wyndham

This book is about a boy who had dreams about the city when he was little.David is the main character he's very abnormal. He thinks about devils half the time and he thinks threats are going to happen to him. His friend Sophie is very vulnerable and she doesn't really live the life was wants to. Sophie is different from other people. Sophie has six toes which isn't normal in the book. Sophie's mom doesn't want David to tell anyone that he visited her house. David is assuming that god hates Sophie just because she has six toes. Which doesn't really make sense. When David went home his family is very religious. They had religious sayings on the wall such as " only the image of god is man" and also watch thou for the mutant! There was other religious things in the house.

The interest that got me was that the theme in the story was very different , and interesting at the same time. To me I never read anything like that before its actually different from all the book we have to read.

What didn't interest me was that Sophie had six toes and nobody talked to her and she doesn't really get out of the house just for that reason. It's pretty stupid to me that is the only reason why. With god hating her for its not true its just very weird.

No , I can't see me reading the rest of the book because I wasn't really interested in the topic. I am not really a big fan of fantasy and science fiction books, and the 2 chapters I read wasn't really interesting.
